Starved for time, part II.

The grocery store remains as elusive as Atlantis as I slog through neuroscience midterms, internship applications, French papers, emotional overload and a full workload at the Daily Trojan.

So, in lieu of a grocery store run — or even, I admit, a grocery list (were it to exist, it would just say "everything")— here's an update on the contents of my fridge:

Contents of cabinet: Two sleeves of rice cakes (24)
Contents of fridge: Two yogurt cups, one stick of butter, half a block of tofu.
Contents of freezer: Four trays of ice cubes.
Unearthed: A Box of Grape Nuts from my walk-in closet (excellent! breakfast all week!)

What I've learned:
— Eating Grape Nuts is like chewing broken marbles, but at least broken marbles are filling,
— Working in an office with free snacks and a bomb coffee machine is a godsend.
— Necessity is the mother of creativity and the killer of discerning taste buds. Rice cake smeared with yogurt?

What it's time for:
— Grocery shopping.
— T-minus: 1 day.

yogurt on the grape-nuts!
(why do you have grape-nuts? how old are you, 70?)

I eat yogurt on Kashi GoLean (only slightly less chewy than grape-nutes) every morning.

Ahh, Libby! I eat the same thing every morning plus raisins and walnuts! So I guess that makes me about 65 :)

And Laura, good luck with the grocery shopping/work load!
