Byline: (Well, kind of.)

This isn't quite a byline, but I felt it deserved the title because it's interesting.

In April, I blogged about attending the Walter Cronkite awards, where I interviewed Katie Couric.

Today, USA Today posted a story on celebrities' attitudes about Twitter. Couric (really, a celebrity?) was quoted as saying, "I Twitter and blog very selectively. ... I don't think anybody gives a rat's (behind) whether I am about to eat a tuna sandwich."

A shortened (uncensored) version of the same quote ran in my story about the Cronkite Awards, published April 16 in the Daily Trojan.

Not quite a scoop, but a funny, tingling feeling nonetheless.

What I DIDN'T know though, was that Katie Couric and Hilary Clinton both have budding careers in music. Thank you, Auto-Tune (I mean, it worked for Miley Cyrus, right?)
